Education
I am licensed as both a Registered Nurse and a Psychologist, I hold a Master's degree in
Marriage and Family Therapy from Auburn University and a PhD in Counseling Psychology from Georgia State University. Between
1991 and 1996, I obtained advanced training in Gestalt psychology.
Experience
I spent a number of years on the staff of a psychiatric hospital, working with people
recovering from addiction & substance abuse and from major mental illnesses.
I have worked on a U.S. Military base with post-traumatic stress disorders.
I spent several years as a health psychologist at two medical hospitals, and was a group
leader for a terminal cancer group.
I have been a member of the Red Cross Mental Health team and the Delta Airlines Crisis Response
team, and have responded to a number of crisis events.
I am currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty at a graduate school for training psychologists.
I have been in private practice for 15 years.
