"....joy can spring like a flower even from the cliffs of despair ."
                                                                         - Anne Morrow Lindberg

I have been a professional in the mental health field since 1978, first as a psychiatric nurse, later as a family therapist, and for the last sixteen years as a licensed Psychologist.  I have a broad background and have worked with a variety of emotional/behavioral issues. Over the years that I have been assisting individuals, couples and families in their healing process,  I have repeatedly been  impressed by the resilience of human beings. In my work I focus on the strengths of my clients, as well as journeying with them through their difficulites

In 2005, I was the recipient of the President's Award for Outstanding Service from the Georgia Psychological Association

I served on the Board of GPA as the Continuing Education Chair, and now have an appointment with the Continuing Education committee of the American Psychological Association. I am the Vice President of the Georgia Psychological Association.
